- Our new Epson 11880 printer is now up and running! This mammoth of a printer can image onto 60" wide media up to 1.5mm thick! Other exciting features include: new, 9-channel high-performance printing head, Ultrachrome K3 ink set with Vivid Magenta - for extremely wide gamut prints, true border-free printing up to 54" wide, real-time, hassle-free black ink switching - both photo and matte blacks are on-board.
- Computer stations are now free to use for prep-work and preflighting! We have a number of Power Macs G5, Mac Pros and PC Workstation set up in the Do-It-Yourself area, where you can check your files and make last minute changes, etc. Each workstation has a gorgeous, fully calibrated 24" monitor and is connected to our trio of Epson printers, as well as to a Noritsu minilab. Full suite of Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) is also available.

Over the past few years folks at Silverfast have put in a tremendous amount of work into their flagship scanning application - we believe that it is the most feature-rich scanning software out there. Add to that their awesome negative profiles, really tight colour conversion math and excellent sharpening algorithms... the time was right for us to upgrade. This combination of the Heidelberg's famous hardware and optics, plus the excellent Silverfast software, reaffirms Colourgenics' position on top of the scanning market in Canada.
- Drum scans from negatives are now available, 8 and 16-bit. As mentioned above, we now utilize Silverfast for our drum scans. This excellent software allows for easy and precise scanning of negative materials, both colour and black&white, in 8 or 16 bit per channel. You have to see it to believe it!
